Info

I took part in the organization, spatial set-up, and art direction of the exhibition, collaborating with Némo Lemoine on the visual identity. The name De-Mapping Puddles comes from the idea that each individual brings drops of their personal experience and cultural background, forming a collective puddle of shared memories. De-Mapping evokes the disorientation of arriving in an unknown place, where everyday life is disrupted and new reference points must be created. Using Antwerp raindrops as a base for typographic experimentation, we developed a 3D visual used on posters and digital communication. The handwritten elements on posters and flyers underline the ephemeral nature of our passage through the city, emphasizing the fragile feeling of being a stranger. This project explores the intersection of graphic design, visual research, and site-specific installation, with a strong focus on identity, displacement, and collective memory.

Impact

Across four days, around 60 people passed through the chapel. The visual identity and spatial design helped create an immersive and accessible environment, encouraging dialogue around ideas of place and belonging.
